Normally, when referring to the Catalan language in the XIII century the shadow looms of the immense personality of Ramon Llull and often, the rest of the production over the century is shunted aside. We could not let this happen, so we have extended the array of knowledge to analyze also the least studied part. Starting with Arnau de Vilanova, we have the study of the confluence between Romance language and Arabic language, the language of the Chronicle form different perspectives and the Aragonese adaptation, the Catalan linguistic consciousness of the time, the sociolinguistic situation in Valencia from the XIII century up to A Jofre de Foixà time, author of Regles de trobar, which establish a suitable troubadour use.
