The book of the Duchess of Abrantes titled Scenes de la vie Espagnole, appears for the first time in Bruselas in 1836. Both accounts translated for the first time in Spanish, �La española� and �El torero�, are part of the overall of the book. The accounts show a wide-range of literary quality, such as the original version that this French lady had, an intelligent and cultured woman, set in the Spain that she visited, and also where she traveled and lived for some time. The writer had a hectic and interesting life at the dawn of Romanticism and was closely related to the literary circles of her time.
