The design of advanced underwater robotic solutions requires the integrated work of multidisciplinary scientists, mastering areas such as computer science, artificial intelligence, mechanical & electrical engineering, as well as specific end-users (e.g. archeologists). AUTOMAR is a research network devoted to automatics and robotics for the industry and for maritime and oceanic sciences. Since its inception, AUTOMAR has managed to bring together the main research groups in the sector. Its main objective is to strengthen research networks by establishing synergies between groups, and to promote collaboration between the University and the Industry.

This book compiles all the multimedia materials generated from the 7th edition of the AUTOMAR workshop puts special emphasis on the international projection and the specific domain of submarine archeology, with the intention of attracting researchers and professionals from all sectors related to marine activities.
