After the commemorative avalanche of the "bicentenaries", it is appropriate now to give the floor to the new generations of researchers, their studies, their approaches and their different perspectives, perhaps less ideologically and politically constrained than before. This will allow them not only to sketch out new road maps but also to offer interpretations of neglected, relegated or simply poorly studied topics. Based on this perspective of renewal, "national" spaces – which did not exist before the nation state – give way to a much better historical structuring and interrelation of this huge territory than the nationalistic historiographical construction invented after independence.
The result is a historical and historiographical Revolution in the South.
