We live in a world where the democratisation of new information and communication technologies has united the planet with an unprecedented speed. Analysis of and reflection on the trends of recent years in the field of creativity that shapes this book allows to draw a horizon defined by a change towards nanotechnology, hyperconnectivity, maturation of virtual communities and a greater presence of telematic work, which make it possible to shape new fields of action for art and design from different areas, and offers a glimpse at pioneering projects and most outstanding contributions of recent years in each of these fields.
