Mobile robotic systems start to be applied in environmental monitoring to protect humans from multiple dangers. In this sense, the main goal of the International Advanced Robotics Programme is to promote the development of robotic systems capable of managing without human help and contributing in the improvement in world economy.
This work studies mainly the development of GUARDIANS and VIEW-FINDER projects and makes know the first results of both projects, through the comparison and analysis of the different approaches to peers of similar fields.
